The New Way for Vendors to Engage Their Channel Every Day

We started ChannelEyes to find a better way for Vendors to work with and engage their Channel Partners. Something that makes Partner Portals, Newsletters and Email - work better!

Just imagine if every manufacturer, distributor, association, franchisor or peer group could spend just 1 minute every day with each person, at every one of their channel partners? And what if they could filter out the noise and share what matters most? Is there any doubt that the Channel Partner would sell more product and deliver better service?

Well, there’s no doubt in our mind. That’s why we created ChannelEyes. It’s a FREE and secure social network for the Channel.  Kind of like Facebook, but instead of friends, it’s a filtered group of vendor feeds on your wall.

For any solution provider, integrator, dealer or agent, ChannelEyes.com is the single place to see a snapshot of new channel program information every day. They control the programs they need to follow, filter the information they want to share and easily build social conversations around it. Sometimes, even link back to more information in the Partner Portal. Best of all, the more vendors and partners that use ChannelEyes, the better it gets.

Why is this different than Facebook, Twitter or LinkedIn?

It’s pretty clear that consumer social media tools are not the place to share protected channel information or carry on secure conversations.

We created ChannelEyes specifically for Suppliers and Resellers. Instead of “Friending”, we developed a business-to-business security model, role based filtering and relevant content. It even captures incentives and promotions before they expire so you can make the most from every sale. In fact, it’s so unique that we filed a Patent with 26 unique elements in 7 categories.

Is It Really Free?

Yes – it’s really free! And that’s because we want anyone and everyone in the channel ecosystem to use it for a few minutes every day. Vendors create multiple Basic feeds for free, and we make a little money when a Vendor upgrades to a Premium Feed. At some point, we will tactfully display advertising sponsorships. Hey – we have to pay our bills too!

ChannelEyes is Vendor Neutral and is available anywhere, anytime from the desktop, mobile devices and tablets. From the ground up, our scalable cloud-based architecture is designed to be delivered worldwide across multiple server nodes, handle time zones, localization and multiple languages by summer 2012

The Founders

Charlie Channel

Our Mascot

Why did they pick me – A Chameleon? That’s simple. It’s because I have stereoscopic eyes that move independently so I can see 360 degrees around me - just like you want to see everything that’s going on in your channel ecosystem. It doesn’t hurt that Chameleon starts with CH and has an ELE in the middle either.

I come from a long line of Charlies. Just who I am named after is still a mystery. Was it Charlie Chan... Charlie Chaplin... Charlie Brown... Charlie the Tuna... or was it Charlie Sheen? Not sure the founders will ever tell me.

Bob Godgart

Channeleyes Managing Partner

Chairman, CompTIA

I'm a serial entrepreneur and founder of 5 successful companies. I guess you’d say that ChannelEyes was my brainchild. Once again I'm following my entrepreneurial passion to change the world in my own little way.

I still proudly serve as Chairman of CompTIA – the IT Industry’s largest trade association. Before ChannelEyes, I was the Founder and CEO of Autotask where I spent the last 10 years. We created the leading cloud-based IT Management Software for Channel Partners to run their business. And, when we started ChannelEyes, I even left my position on the Autotask Board so we could focus on our new venture and become totally independent. Our mantra at ChannelEyes is to deliver a "ridiculously simple and secure way to engage every Channel Partner in the world every day.

CTO

Bob G. Dreams it up and I figure out how we take his crazy ideas and turn them into a product. I love to create software that's intuitive and solves real problems. I’m also an entrepreneur and started KnowledgeXtensions in 1997. We built a revolutionary e-learning product that could be personalized to an individual learning style. Major corporations all over the world used it. I played both CEO and Chief Technologist until the company was acquired in early 2011.

Prior to Knowledgextensions, I was the Chief Software Architect at Image Systems Technology, Bob’s first startup. We have history together! Even back then, he would come up with innovative ideas and look to me to figure it out. Image Systems was also acquired by a public company.

Jay McBain

Chief Social Officer

I am a Channel guy and innovator. I’ve been named to the Alphabet soup of channel lists including the Top 25 Newsmakers in CDN Magazine, Top 100 Most Respected Thought Leaders by Vertical Systems Reseller, the SMB 150, as well as the MSP Mentor 250. But deep down, what I really wanted was to be an entrepreneur. I make that dream a reality here at ChannelEyes, mixing my love of Social Media and Channel.

Prior to ChannelEyes, I spent much of my career in sales leadership, marketing, strategy and business development positions within Lenovo and IBM. Using a unique blend of community outreach, social media and innovative marketing, I grew the SMB division of Lenovo by 50%.

I am also honored to serve as Vice Chair of the CompTIA Vendor Advisory Council and Vice Chair of the MSP Partners Community.

I have Advertising in my blood!I spent 18 years with TransWestern Publishing, a leading yellow page publisher. Starting out as an advertising sales rep, I eventually became a member of the senior management team; responsible for $20 Million of revenue with 100 people reporting to me in 8 offices across multiple states. Our Sales came from both traditional print advertising and the online advertising products. In 2005 TransWestern was acquired for $1.6 Billion. Cha Ching!

And I’ve lived in the Channel Too. For the last 4.5 years, I worked with Autotask as the corporate recruiter, hiring and on boarding new sales reps, and participating at industry trade shows. My favorite part of the job was to co-manage Autotask Community Live, the company's annual user Conference.
